Wedding Decorations and Prop Hire

We believe that decorations can be done simply and stylishly with just a few little touches, especially if you get a bit creative with it.  However you can also spend loads of money and make the barn look amazing!

Ceiling Runners

We have long lengths of white chiffon which can be draped over the pole barn beams to add texture to the roof space.  Please see the photo below for an illustration of what it looks like.  These are available to hire for £100 including set-up and take-down.  See the picture above for the runners installed.

Table Decorations

When the pole barn was built we used a small amount of items to dress the tables and take photos, which went a long way.  We have also been collecting more accessories to add to this, and we now hire them all out to our guests, so that they can decorate without having to buy anything in.

This package is more designed for trestle tables, and the shelves underneath the windows around the back of the pole barn.

• White archway, an ideal backdrop for outdoor ceremonies. You can decorate them yourselves, or your florist can do it for you.  Height: 216cm.  Width: 176cm.
• 60 candlesticks (3 are candelabra with five candles on each of them) and the total amount of candles needed is 60). NB we do not provide candles (so many people want different colours according to their theme) but we can provide a full set of white unscented tall candles for an additional £30.
• 40 clear glass tea light sconces (additional £10 fee for the tea lights)
• 20 metres of faux ivy runners. NB If you would prefer to get a florist to do the runners, we recommend long ruscus or eucalyptus.
• 2 large glass storm vases: these are great for making fairy light clusters, although we didn’t use them in that set-up. Six smaller ones.
• A selection of round wooden bases: around 10 small (10cm diameter) and 6 large (30cm diameter)
• 25 Small wire photo holders, which can also be used to hold table numbers or names. 10 of these are white metal with lovely heart-shaped tops.
• Large red table-top post box for cards.
• Small wooden table-top chalk boards for table numbers: ideally for trestle table weddings. We have a total of 8.
• 150 small wooden name card (placement) holders.
• 60 pillar candle bases, for use then you want to have free-standing wide candles. These work well on the back shelf of the pole barn, under the windows.

Garden Marquee

Are you worried about the weather?  Keen to have an outdoor ceremony but concerned that this may not be possible at the last minute?  Fear not!  We have a marquee which you can hire from us, in order to guarantee covered space outside.  It measures 12m x 10m, and it can be installed on our wedding lawn for you, in advance of your wedding.  The marquee costs £495, and it can be used for ceremonies or drinks receptions, according to your requirements.  The marquee is available between May and the end of September.  Please see photos above and below.

Confetti

Sadly we only allow organic confetti here at Owlpen, such as rose petals and lavender.  Although it can be fun to make your own, we know that it can be expensive to source confetti from outside sources.

During the summer months we keen busy in the gardens by gathering rose petals and drying them, so that you don’t have to.  We have a range of colours to choose from, with the most abundant colours being a mix of red/ pink, and white/ yellow.  We also have bags of lavender.  Our confetti costs £1 per person, and it is presented in pretty basket for your wedding party to use for the confetti to be distributed to guests.  Please be aware that we have finite supplies of confetti, so order them while stocks last!

BBQ Package

If you are planning to have a BBQ at a holiday cottage, we can help with the planning.  We can provide you with all of the kit needed to make for a fun evening party, where people have a seat and you have the cooking facilities that you need.  Our BBQ hire pack is as follows:

Two round BBQs with charcoal and tongs

Up to 50 black folding chairs

Six folding plastic 6 foot tables

Two plastic benches

One 3x3m gazebo

One string of outdoor festoon lights with extension lead

Price: £100

We can provide these for you at Woodwells cottage.  Please let us know by email and we can prepare them for you: we deliver the package to your cottage, so that you can configure it according to your specific requirements.

Please note: we do not supply a Bluetooth speaker as we do not permit amplified music outside after 5pm.  Really sorry!
